TheHabitCoachEpisode311.png

On the 2nd episode with Indian Badminton Player Tanvi Lad, Ashdin and she talk about rock bottoms. Tanvi shares her rock bottom story about her knee injury because of which she had to sit out from multiple games and tournaments, which majorly affected her world ranking from world number 3 to 116, how she got out of this professional slump, how she fought back against the injury, attending rehab for the same, the importance of accepting the hand you've been dealt and going forward from there, her amazingly strong team and the support system around her that gives her constant reality checks and keeps her grounded, and how she avoided going down a mental spiral during that time because of the support system she had in place. Tanvi says that, as an athlete, mental health is of utmost importance for longevity and to avoid burning out, and is a true believer of failure teaching you more than success. Tune in for an important discussion around mental health and rock bottoms.

On the 1st episode with Tanvi, she and Ashdin had talked about the importance of having a routine and putting in the hardwork, which in turn, gives you tremendous confidence. Do catch that if you haven't yet.

Ep. 178: Do Research

TheHabitCoachep178.png

Did you know that Google was originally called 'Backrub'? The founders used this as the company’s name because it used to collect backlinks to websites.

It is critical for us to learn how to research. What is it that we're searching for? How does one hold that information in the mind? How to deal with two websites or studies that say completely contradictory things?
On this episode, Ashdin underlines the importance of doing your own research, while not falling for the 'they say' statements. Tune in to find out how.

Ep. 175: Rituals

Did you know it takes about two months to form a habit from a behaviour?

When we start doing something new, or when forming a new habit, there is always a struggle. It is something that we have to force our selves to do. It doesn’t come easily to us.
Most of us stop at this stage as we start thinking if this struggle is going to be worth it in the long run.
Ashdin talks about one of the most powerful aspects of creating a habit - the ritualisation of a habit. There are ways to incorporate habits in your life in a very smooth manner. Tune in to find out how.

Ep. 173: Fail Forward

TheHabitCoachEp173.png

Did you know that the fear of failure can be transferred from parent to child?

On this episode, Ashdin talks about failure, how to fail with grace and how to not let the failure put you down. When we fail, it is never the failure that stops our growth. It is the reaction to the failure that affects our self-worth. Every failure has something to teach you if you're willing to learn. Don't fail backwards, fail forwards. Tune in to find out how.
