Afghanistan was all set to go to elections this summer, but Afghanistan, its State and its people are all in peril. The Taliban are now on the negotiating table with global powers, often without the presence of the legitimate government of Afghanistan. Anand Arni and Pranay Kotasthane share how Afghanistan has been faring over the past two decades on Episode 96 of the Pragati Podcast.

Pranay Kotasthane is Fellow and Head of the Geostrategy Programme at the Takshashila Institution.

Ceasefire violations have become part and parcel of the Indo-Pacific relationship. In January 2018 alone, there were more than 100 ceasefire violations. Hosts Pavan Srinath and Hamsini Hariharan are joined by Pranay Kotasthane and Lt Gen Prakash Menon to decode the events at the border.

Lt Gen Menon (ret) has spent 40 years in the Indian army, and has extended operational experience on the Siachen glacier, the Line of Control and counterinsurgency operations in Kashmir.
